Ses intérêts de recherche portent sur les familles et les intervenants confrontés à la mort et au deuil dans tous les secteurs d’activités. Professeure au département des sciences infirmières à l’Université du Québec en Outaouais depuis 2007, elle détient une maîtrise qui explorait le sens de la vie après le deuil d’un enfant et un doctorat en sciences infirmières où elle a développé un modèle théorique du prendre soin de soi pour prendre soin des autres terminé en 2012. Ses intérêts de recherche portent sur le vécu des familles et des intervenants en contextes de deuils complexes et de souffrances familiales dont ceux qui se vivent à l’urgence. Chantal Verdon is a professor, nurse at the Department of Nursing at the Université du Québec en Outaouais in Canada. She's obtained a master's degree that explored the meaning of life after a child's death and a doctorate in nursing where she developed a theoretical model of taking care of oneself to take care of others.
